Stories, market insights, homeowner resources, and community updates from The Kocher Team.
A Letter from Kelli
Welcome to the first edition of The Legacy Letter.
For many years, The Kocher Team has shared updates through our printed newsletter. As we continue to grow and adapt, we are excited to bring those updates to you in a new digital format. My hope is that this space becomes more than just a real estate update. I hope it becomes a way for us to stay connected, share stories, celebrate milestones, and continue building relationships with the people who mean so much to us.
This year has brought many changes for our team and our family. Through every season, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to serving others with integrity, care, and a heart for helping people. We are incredibly grateful for the trust you place in us when referring friends and family, attending our events, reading our updates, and allowing us to be part of your lives.
As many of you know, our mission is to serve, build relationships, and impact legacies, one house at a time. That mission guides every decision we make and every family we have the privilege of serving. Real estate has always been about more than buying and selling homes. It is about helping people take the next step in their journey, whether that means purchasing a first home, making room for a growing family, downsizing for a new season of life, or building a future for generations to come.
In this edition of The Legacy Letter, you’ll find a market update, homeowner resources, team news, and upcoming events. We hope you’ll find something helpful, encouraging, or simply enjoyable to read.
Thank you for being part of our story. Your support, friendship, and trust mean more than words can express. We look forward to continuing to serve you and your loved ones for many years to come.
With gratitude,
Kelli Kocher
The Kocher Team
DFW Market Matters
What We’re Seeing in the Market This Summer
If you’ve been keeping an eye on the real estate market, you’ve probably noticed that things look a little different than they did a few years ago—and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, buyers are enjoying more choices as inventory continues to grow. With more homes available, buyers have additional time to explore their options and, in many cases, more room to negotiate. While interest rates remain a factor for many families, buyers who are prepared and working with the right team are still finding great opportunities.
For sellers, today’s market rewards preparation. Homes that are priced strategically, professionally marketed, and presented well continue to attract serious buyers and strong offers. The days of simply putting a sign in the yard and expecting multiple offers are behind us, making experience and a thoughtful marketing strategy more important than ever.
The biggest takeaway? Real estate is local. Every neighborhood, price point, and community has its own story. Whether you’re planning to move this year, next year, or simply want to understand your home’s value, we’re always happy to be a resource and help you make informed decisions.
Mission Moment: Building Relationships That Last
One of the greatest joys of what we do is seeing relationships grow long after the closing table.
Several years ago, Patrick and Kayla Adams connected with The Kocher Team through the Dave Ramsey Trusted program while preparing to purchase a home. What began as a single real estate transaction quickly became a lasting relationship that we are grateful to have today.
Since that first purchase, Patrick and Kayla have welcomed two children into their family, creating new memories and new reasons to think about the next chapter of homeownership. As their needs changed, they trusted our team again when it was time to buy and sell. Through each season, we have had the privilege of walking alongside them and helping them navigate important decisions for their family.
Today, the relationship extends far beyond real estate. Patrick and Kayla regularly attend our client appreciation events, and Patrick has even become one of our valued event sponsors. What started as a referral has grown into a friendship that continues to enrich our team and our community.
Stories like theirs remind us why we do what we do. Real estate is about much more than buying and selling houses. It is about helping families build a future, create memories, and establish a legacy for the people they love.
Patrick and Kayla, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. It has been an honor to serve your family, and we look forward to celebrating many more milestones with you in the years ahead.
Around The Kocher Team
This season has brought several exciting changes for our team.
After more than 13 years of faithfully serving our clients and guiding countless transactions from contract to closing, Sheri Briscoe recently retired from The Kocher Team. Sheri’s dedication, kindness, and commitment to excellence have left a lasting impact on our clients and our team. We are incredibly grateful for the many years she invested in helping families through one of life’s biggest milestones and wish her nothing but the very best in retirement.
As we celebrated Sheri’s retirement, we also welcomed a familiar face into a new role. Jon Wood has transitioned into our Transaction Coordinator position, where he will continue serving our clients behind the scenes and helping ensure every transaction is as smooth as possible.
We’re also excited to introduce The Legacy Letter as a new way to stay connected with you. While we’ve enjoyed sharing printed newsletters over the years, this digital format allows us to bring you more stories, homeowner resources, market insights, and updates throughout the year. We hope it becomes something you look forward to reading each quarter.
